Paradise Roleplay Report Requirements and Guidelines
Do you feel you are the victim of a severe loss due to a rule breach ? Do you believe a player broke a rule? Have you witnessed/heard of people hacking or bug abusing? If you have any evidence to show ANYTHING like what has been mentioned this is where you need to be to report that, so it can be looked into by the correct people.
When creating a player report take a minute before you do and see if this is something that can be sorted out between you and the other player, reporting should only be used when it is necessary and you can't resolve this yourselves.
Always take into consideration that this section is for OOC (Out Of Character) rule breaches listed in the Paradise Community rules. If you are having issues IC (In Character) they should be handled with a IC complaint method: Example- You feel one police officer is harassing you, you would make an IA report against them. Most of the Legal services have a in-character method for reporting misconduct which isn't a rule breach, if you feel there is a rule breach then you should make a report.
If you decide to file a report you must follow the guidelines listed below to the best of your knowledge, try to inform the player that you may be reporting them, so they can save the necessary evidence as well. If you feel a member of the Paradise team has broken a rule you may report them too, as they are held to the same rules as everyone else and the report will be reviewed by a member of the senior team.
REPORT GUIDELINES
- The person making the report must be directly involved in the situation, unless it is a severe case such as cheating, exploiting or cyber threats. We will not accept player reports from banned members or people who do not have an in-game account.
- Ensure you have read the rules and have no doubt the player has broken a specific rule before posting. (You could also make a discord ticket for staff to double check if needed.)
- Please make sure to inform the reported player(s) of the report in a timely fashion ( such as a PM in-game when the situation happens informing them to save POV)
- Evidence of the rule breach is required such as a screenshot or video (Unedited and including sound). Evidence from other players in the situation can be used as well as long as it shows the rule break.
- Evidence should not be older than 48 hours. If players withhold evidence and knowledge of a rule break, they can be punished as well.
- Please use the correct format shown below, if not you will be asked to update your post to the correct format, if this is not done it could result in the report being denied.
- The report's explanation of the players rule breach must be concise and factual, explaining the situation, in a maximum of 400 words.The reviewing staff member can request an update if this is non-compliant.
- Reports must include the Unix date/time stamp of the situation which can be found in the bottom left as shown below:
- Players who are NOT INVOLVED in the report are not allowed to respond, unless asked too, commenting on a report you’re not involved in you may be warned by a forum moderator.
- All responses on player reports should be factual and only reference the questions that have been asked by the member of staff handling the report. Commentary back and forth between players can result in forum warnings.
- Do not contact anyone on the admin team regarding your report, or any NEW potential rule breaking situations, if you witness a situation in-game make an in-game report or gather the evidence and make another forum report. Failure to adhere to this can result in your player report being denied.
- Posting a second report on the same situation or thread bumping is not allowed. ONE player report per situation, be patient while your report is being reviewed and concluded.
- Once a staff member has made the final decision, you may not report the situation again, if you received a punishment, you may appeal that. See the punishment appeals section for more details.
- If you lost items involved in a rule breach you are welcome to submit a refund request.
