The Origin
The Cartel de Juervos wasn’t always around. Its origins go back, not so long ago to Liberty City, where times were tough, money was tight, and people did what they had to do to survive.
Joshua "JJ" Juervos, grew up in a struggle. He dropped out of school, built up a criminal record, and spent years bouncing between different hustles. But unlike most, he didn’t stay in one lane. He eventually went back to college, earning degrees in various fields—including Criminal Justice—which gave him a solid understanding of both the legal and illegal sides of life.

JJ and his wife, Lora Juervos, the founders, had always hustled to make ends meet, but in a place like Liberty City, the real money was rarely made the legal way. Over time, they found themselves running a small underground arms manufacturing and distribution operation. JJ’s family in Mexico handled the imports, sending weapons in parts, which he and his small crew then assembled and sold to various groups in Liberty City.

This went on for a long while, and they became extraordinarily wealthy, built up a decent group, and they began to chase wealth in other ways by importing a profound amount of illegal substances into the state and distributing them to others in bulk. Additionally they ran several businesses on the side, legally; Notably a Night Club, with a Fight arena in the basement.

Eventually, JJ and Lora craved more.. They traveled to Mexico to meet with JJ’s uncle, a high-ranking member of the Sinaloa Cartel. They pitched the idea of expanding their operation and, with his uncle’s blessing, they officially established their own group—the Cartel de Juervos, named after their family’s deep involvement in its ranks.

From there, JJ and Lora scaled up their operation, taking over more drug imports and larger distribution. While they originally kept their hands off harder drugs like heroin and meth, when the profits became impossible to ignore, they made exceptions. Furthermore, they began claiming Turfs as their own designated territories marking their name around the area.

The cartel grew, its network expanded, and its reputation spread—not because they chased power, but because they knew how to make money and were willing to do whatever it took to keep it flowing.

Starting a New Journey...

The Move to Los Santos
Eventually, the federal government started catching onto the Cartel’s involvement in the rising crime, drug trafficking, and underground activities. Fingers were pointed at JJ and Lora, and while they had always managed to maintain a relatively clean public image and a working relationship with the law, their growing presence started raising too many questions.

After years of maneuvering around law enforcement, living the high life with luxury homes, expensive cars, and massive profits, the Juervos had to make a tough decision. They pulled high-ranking members out of Liberty City and set their sights on San Andreas to expand operations while avoiding further heat.

Once in San Andreas, they took a low-profile approach. Some members secured legitimate jobs, while others scouted the underground scene, gathering intel on who controlled what and where the opportunities were. This gave the Juervos a significant advantage when they were ready to reemerge and establish dominance.

They started by building their wealth through extensive marijuana manufacturing and distribution. Demand for their product skyrocketed, eventually reaching a point where they had to outsource supply from third parties, often paying over market value just to keep up.
